Prof. Samuel Famiyeh

Professor Samuel Famiyeh is currently the Acting Dean of the Business School of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He also Heads the Department of Management Science and has held other prominent offices such as Program Advisor and Coordinator for the Post Graduate Certificate and Diploma programmes in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management for the GIMPA School of Public Services. In addition to these, he Coordinates Supply Chain, Operations, Project and Procurement Management programmes. He has served on several committees both within and outside GIMPA and has over 20 years of industrial and teaching experiences.
Professor Famiyeh has excellent managerial capabilities with technical knowledge in Organizational Development, Operations management, Supply Chain Management and Project Management. He has insights into the management of environmental issues from the perspective of government, business and other stakeholders with specific focus on solving problems on the basis of gathering accurate knowledge about such problems and potential solutions, including available technologies and various methodologies. He also has profound knowledge in Management of Petroleum Resources, Policy and Administration among other expertise.
He has several areas of academic and professional interest including Operations/Supply Chain Management/Project Management; Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management Planning and Implementation; Environmental Impact Assessment Auditing and Management; Mine Environmental Problems, Solutions and Management; and Exploration, Mining and Engineering Geology.
